ParticipantI’m literally losing my head everyday atp, what are the girls doing for work and coping financially? 😭
I’ve only had one job that actually heard me out and supported to me till things got really bad, so I’ve been unemployed for almost a year now.
I have tried applying for PIP & extra help but after my last lap, they basically reversed my diagnosis of adenomyosis and said there’s nothing wrong with me so from an official standpoint I didn’t have much to go off and my GP is basically useless.
I can’t manage a full time in person job, and the job market is basically finished so if any one had any advice I’d be grateful cos I’m one crash out away from completely losing it 😭

ParticipantAww I’m sending you all my love, I’m literally in the same boat 🫠 so I know exactly how you feel, I’m just trying to apply to as many remote jobs as possible. (There are some Endometriosis friendly employees list online – not sure how great these companies actually are !)
I wish I could give me guidance but deffo push on to your GP/consultant. Ask for a SARs and see what they have put on your operation notes, they need to provide full explanation in reversing your diagnosis, try to do a diary of symptoms ( I know it’s hard especially in pain, I feels with many things it’s not what you say, it’s what you can prove. And you can prove that your symptoms and pain is not in your head )I wouldn’t be surprised if they have made a mistake. Don’t give up !! Sending you love ❤️❤️❤️😘

ParticipantAlso the add I have started emailing start up founders and smaller companies asking if they are hiring etc, they tend to be a bit more forward thinking when it comes to remote working. So try welcome to jungle, find a list of startupcompanies here’s one for you https://topstartups.io/?hq_location=London and looking at their career sites, this could be the competition as less people know about the company and they may not be on LinkedIn, indeed etc

KeymasterOmg babe😩 the fact that they reversed your Adenomyosis diagnosis makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. Adenomyosis doesn’t just disappear unless someone has a hysterectomy so that is so stupid of them and you should 100% complain to pals and explain that due to that stupid inconsistency, you’re unable to get financial help due to what the drs wrote on your notes. You need to call your dr and urge for them to put adenomyosis as one of your diagnosis. Even then, when I received PIP I was just diagnosed with severe chronic dysmenorrhea, I had no official diagnosis of endometriosis nor adenomyosis so that shouldn’t stop you from getting the benefits babe

ParticipantThank you girlies for the advice!
I was in the trenches cos UC stopped paying me cos I wasn’t able to attend meetings (they kept booking them in person and I was having flare ups ). I got tired of explaining and gave up with them.Luckily I found a job and I’ve just started. Had a my period the week before so fingers crossed I can survive in this one 🤣
Anxiety is in the airrr for the next cycle

ParticipantYaaaay congratulations on finding a new job !!! Make sure you celebrate 🥳
Also did you let your new employer know about your conditions or would you tell them later? Reason I’m asking is because i’m looking for a new role myself but I never know when I should tell them, I’ll rather they discriminate once I have the contract cause then I see £££ 😂😂 ( I’ll sue them)

ParticipantThank you! Celebration pending, don’t worry 🤣
I didn’t tell them before as I’ve had job offers pulled once I let them know.
I’ve been here for coming up to month and my period is due any day now so I’ve just completed an occupational health referral and hoping for the best. 🤣🤣 Like you, I wanted to wait for the contract before opening my mouth but I’ll keep this post updated with any new info xx
