Hi! I dont know if anyone will read this but its an outlet! Im going for my first laparoscopy next week and im terrified…. I finally got diagnosed in December after 8 years of not being seen or heard. I stopped going to visit my gp at 15 because I didnt want to take the hormonal route and that was their only form of help. I got diagnosed on a whim, on a pure chance that an A&E visit led me to finally being taken seriously. I guess thats also because I was in the worst pain of my life and it was outside of my period so they couldn’t dismiss me too hard. Since then i’ve now moved abroad and I have met a fantastic endometriosis specialist who helps me feel seen. But that doesn’t seen to take away from all the damage that has been done and now im terrified and the clock is ticking. I know that I have deep infiltrating endo on my utereosacral ligaments and rectovaginal, but now im scared for what else they can find, especially given with my horrific bowel and bladder symptoms( if i get into that the tears will fill the keyboard). I dont really know how to prepare for this going forward. So if anyone does end up reading this please do let me know. To all the girlie with endo I hope you all live long and fruitful lives and we all deserve the world and I hope we get it <3
